French Violin Mater Maker- Marc Laberte
Marc Laberte was born in Mirecourt in 1880, son of Pierre Alexis Auguste Laberte. He was a French maker based in Mirecourt, France who inherited the Laberte family firm. Over a century operating in Mirecourt, the capital of French violin-making, the firm produced numerous violins ranging from good quality all the way to master-level instruments.
Marc Laberte himself became well known as an exceptional luthier, and he was awarded several Grand Prix medals.This special piece of antique is one of his best instrument.
