Description
Old French violin by Laberte, Mirecourt with a good quality tone.
This unmistakably French Mirecourt Violin with its attractively antique appearance was crafted by Laberte in the 1910’s in Mirecourt, the famous violin-making town in the Vosges Mountains. The same region also provided the beautiful tonewoods for the violin, which was patterned after a model byAntonio Stradivari.
The clear sound of this violin has a mature, ringing undertone and is very well balanced, sweet and resonant: it is a good example of the high tonal standards of the French violin-making tradition.
