J.B. COLLIN MEZIN PARIS 1922 VIOLIN

A fine French violin by Ch. J.B. Collin-Mezin, 1923, Stradivari 1716 “Messiah” model. This is a superb example in excellent condition made with an exceptional materials and high level technical execution. The varnish is of a nice texture, orange-red in color on top of the golden ground. The length over the back is 35.7 cm. This is a fine sounding instrument with wonderful tonal colors and carrying power, suitable for a demanding professional musician.

A fine original French instrument by, Ch.J.B.Collin-Mezin, labelled and signed inside on the lower right bout, these instruments are becoming more scarce as time passes, this example is dated 1923 and carries the 24 bis extra which denotes the best quality. In extremely good condition, with original rosewood pegs and other fittings in ebony, This violin has the lovely full rich sound which is a feature of the Collin-Mezin instruments.
